John K. Shuster, M.D. began practicing at Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists in 1998 after directing the spine service at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. His undergraduate degree was in engineering. Following a brief stint in the Corvette Engineering Group at General Motors, he chose to attend medical school.

Dr. Shuster is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in all aspects of spine care. He and his two fellowship-trained partners make up The Spine Center at Northwest orthopaedic Specialists.

Dr. Shuster enjoys spending time with his family, spending time at the lake, camping, working with stained glass, and other home projects.
