Joint Reconstruction
Advances in implant materials, biological science and new surgical techniques now allow orthopedic surgeons to effectively treat complex bone and joint problems. Joint reconstruction and restoration procedures include a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical techniques. Joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder and ankle decrease pain and improve function in many of our patients. We work closely with the hospital staff and your physician to ensure a safe and optimal result.
In addition to joint replacement, many other joint preservation procedures are available for younger patients who may have joint problems following injuries or prior surgery. These include arthroscopic reconstruction of the knee, shoulder and ankle, cartilage restoration procedures, osteotomy and partial knee replacement. Many of these techniques were not available even a few years ago. With training and expertise in all types of reconstruction, our surgeons are committed to performing the best and most appropriate treatment for an individual patient.
The mission of Northwest Orthopedic Specialists is to provide advanced, personalized treatment for musculoskeletal problems. Joint reconstruction and restoration is a major part of what we do.
