The Orthopaedic Surgery Center
Since opening in 2004, the ASC has performed over 30,000 orthopaedic surgeries and 15,000 interventional pain cases. The Center continues to receive outstanding patient satisfaction ratings from its patients.
The surgeons utilizing the ASC are able to perform complex orthopaedic cases in part due to the exceptional outpatient anesthesiology staff who routinely perform various types of nerve blocks that allow patients to be discharged with minimal pain for the first 24 hours after surgery. Because the ASC is dedicated solely to orthopaedic surgery (along with interventional pain cases), the staff are able to more effectively support the surgeons.
The anesthesiologists performing interventional pain cases are able to provide relief to patients with chronic pain from degenerative spine diseases. Procedures performed range from epidural steroid injections to insertion of permanent electrical stimulation devices.
